Hi!

We are building a semi-custom home, and I would love guidance on choosing an exterior color scheme. I'm attaching our latest exterior sketch. The materials shown are stucco, stone, and board and batten. We have decided to do away with the board and batten and replace that section with stucco. For the main stucco body of the house and the window "pop-outs," we are limited to the standard Parex stucco colors. For the front door, garage door, shutters, trim, gutters, the fascia, etc., we can choose any Sherwin Williams paint color or simply match the stucco. For stone, we have lots of options, and I believe I'll have an easier time making that selection once we narrow down the stucco and paint colors.

Our roof will have Owen Cornings asphalt shingles in the Driftwood color (photo attached).

I know I want a creamy, light look to the exterior, but I'm stuck on where to place each shade of color. I am debating whether to use a lighter or darker shade of stucco around the windows, primarily because our windows have an extremely bright white trim, and I would prefer that that blend rather than stand out.

I'm considering three shades of stucco (the color charts online appear yellow and not at all like they look in person, so I won't attach them), but they are essentially a warm beige, a lighter beige, and a white. I would love your help determining where to place the three colors on the home, and I would love suggestions for paint colors for the trim, shutters, front door, and garage. The front door is fiberglass, so I'd prefer a paint color as opposed to a wood-like stain.

We still have time to change the location of stone on the home, so I'm open to suggestions for that, too. The home is facing North, if that is important at all.

The last photo is a home that has the overall color "feel" I'm after. ;)
