Starting training my newly grafted mini's.

I like to start training my little tree's at this early stage, it is now to begin their shape.The budwood is from fruited tree's so it will not take long for them to start flowering. The more aggressive branches need to be bend down till the weaker ones are catching up.

Good strategy, Bob! I hang weights on the branches or tie the branch to get the desired effect, it's easy to do with the new growth of the tree.

I ty them to little rocks so that i can move'm quick, a couple of weeks is all that's needed. Oops, fish are biting got to go.

I cut the top off the long branch by 3 nodes and it split into 2 branches while the shorter caught up.
seed grown Meiwa kumquat with top snapped over to force lower branch growth. It now has 6 branches growing.
