Beadboard help

I'm in the process of putting the finishing touches on my bathroom Reno but have run into a bit of a design snag. The bead board will have a total height of 37 1/8 inches but my vanity height is 34 1/4 inches high. Do I put the bead board behind the vanity and only have a 3 inch beadboard backsplash or will that not look right?!?! I should also mention the marble backsplash which is 3.5 inches in height is short by about a 1/4 of an inch too short!! Wonderful I know right!! Please any idea would be awesome

I don't quite see the dilemma. Why don't you just cut the beadboard down so the heights match?

Why not beadboard the whole wall.

I have done a short beadboard behind a vanity and it looks fine. Just continue the chair rail going around the room so it is level. Regarding the short backsplash, here is an idea. If possible, move it to the right so the ends meet and in the corner where there is a gap, fill it in with clear caulk. There's often caulking where backsplashes meet and with it being clear it won't be noticed while at same time is is hazy. Clear caulking isn't actually clear; it's hazy.
