I agree it is a little too big visually so, if keeping it, I would suggest white/cream washing the frame so it is less prominent but still complements the more natural wood looks of the sofa table, floors, and fireplace surround.

It looks pretty and the though for placing a leaning mirror there I like. The wide/darker wood frame is a distraction I do agree. Maybe a pinch taller 4" or so so it's 3" or so below grate and more simple surround if you are doing a leaner.

It looks great in the room. However, I do think it is a little on the large size.

Something a bit less wide, but very tall would be beautiful. Frame a bit smaller and maybe a tone similar to the console.

Even a simple leaner in a mirrored box style.

This would be a nice mix with the rustic and elegance you have in the room. This is not quite as tall as what you have, but it would be very pretty IMO.

Maybe with high ceilings. Looks too large, esp. with fireplace, window, etc... if there's supposed to be a focal point of fp, then it takes away from it...

I believe it needs to be a bit more narrow is all with less obtrusive frame or box frame... it's a lovely idea and good luck!

I get what you were going for - it's a cool mirror. But, I have to agree with Rosanne, we both like the style/wood frame, but perhaps you could get it with a frame that isn't so thick?
