Olives need hot dry climates. Does that describe yours?

Olives are quite adaptable. They grow perfectly well here in the PNW and we are certainly NOT hot and can be seasonally quite wet. Summer humidity could be an issue. And you do need some decent heat if you expect a crop of fruit. They seldom produce in our cool summer.

Olive trees survive reasonably well in southern England too. Hot and dry does not describe our climate by any stretch. But fruit are hit and miss due to lack of summer heat.

Well it is humid here for summer but heat wouldent be a issue. And i have a 1000 watt ballist for winter for citrus. My husband loves olives and i have so much already i thought about getting him something of interest but it would be more for novelty so fruit crop isnt a huge issue. It would be container grown probably.
