Pickles in 1/2 pint jelly jars?

Hi. I want to make some bread and butter and maybe some small dill slices and put them in the smaller 1/2 pint jelly jars as Christmas gifts. Any reason why I can't? What would the process time be for the smaller jars? Thank you.
