We are in the midst of a new build and planning lighting in our open living room/dining room. Living room is on one side of vaulted ceiling and dining room on the other side. Ceilings are sloped and approximately 17' tall at peak. Our electrician has recommended LED pot lights in the slopes of ceiling, and recommended AGAINST any hanging fixture (reasons: reduced flexibility with furniture placement, will be in line of view out of second storey windows). I really want a hanging light over our dining table (chandelier style). Looking for advice/recommendations for lighting this space. Thanks!
