I agree none of the 3 options really work. You need to change the color of the floor, may be a whitewash paint with a hint of grey. Then add a fabric upholstered sofa.

I like the 2nd sofa but not sure it would fit the space.

Heather, yes the fabric sofa is fun for this space. May be you can add a footstool in a solid color, the same as the bookcase or lampshade.

my vote was accident. color on first leather ok, design seems to fancy. don't go with sect, but color is ok. 3rd would be my choice here.

how about this one i just found for $700. Ok it probably is not the most comfortable, but at least their eyes wont hurt when they sit there.
