My vote is for the Bianco Antico, I had it in my previous kitchen with white cabinets too! I did a glass mosaic for the backsplash in the darker color of the stone.

Love the quartz. White on white will be timeless. I just put Silestone calcatta gold in my kitchen and I love it!

Marabella. You have warmth from the beautiful wood floors. The cabinet color and Marabella Quartz will be timeless and very classy. Also they will be neutral and appealing to future home buyers. It will a huge asset to choose the calming, soothing neutrals. It gives future home owners and yourself the opportunity to use the home decor items you already have and love.

Marbella

With a simple subway backsplash, I would think the Marabella would be too much simple going on (white cabinets, white countertops, plainish backsplash). And it seems it's like what everyone is doing. I didn't read what type of kitchen layout you have, but if you want the colorful granite over all the tops, it could be overwhelming. What about a colorful island top (Bianco) and more soothing tops (Marabella) on the rest? That's kind of what I'm thinking of for our new house. Good luck!

If you do the white quartz, I'd go for a warm gray backsplash, just to give some contrast. My vote would be the fantasy brown in your context, just because it seems like a good balance of something that's cool but still ok with the warm wood, and something unlikely to go out of style anytime soon.

I love Fantasy Brown - I'm hoping to use that in my own kitchen, soon! It seems to have a subtle wash of pattern that can pull many colors from whatever background it is set against.

The Marbella and Fantasy Brown are nice!! We used Calacatta Quartzite (think it's also known as Sea Pearl) and I love it!

Thank you all for the comments. It seems as if the preference is Marbella Quartz and Fantasy Brown followed by the Bianco Antico. I don't have an island so two different countertops is not an option.

I like the fantasy brown also. white on white just strikes me as cold and I bet it's frustrating when it's always messy. My kitchen is clean about 5 minutes a day between breakfast and lunch.

I vote for 1 or 4. With what you're showing us I wouldn't worry about the 1 and 4 counter top being to busy. At this point I think you may need some contrast due to the all white cabinets and the flooring. If you get a back splash that may change my vote for the counter tops depending on what is chosen. Out of the 5 options, I'd go with the white quartz.

Other options I might consider: soapstone and Antique Brown (Marron Cohiba) granite in a leather finish.

I like the white springs - it has a touch of copper and burgundy in it that will tie in nice with your floors and still give you some movement and color on your counters.

The Marbella would really be timeless and good for resale. You could do a simple white backsplash with it as well.

I like the Marbella quartz. Go with an oversize white subway & mushroom color grout. Gorgeous!

I agree with Lumar interiors. It will be timeless to do the white on white look and great for resale down the road. I'm a real estate agent and all my clients always want the same thing. "A white Kitchen" You can't go wrong! :)

the quartz,,,you can always do a cool backsplash to break up all of the white. With the other choices, the only backsplash you can get away with is something plain and white.

Fantasy Brown for warmth. All white kitchens are too cold looking and too overdone. The Bianco Antico to me looks like someone threw paint on stone. I like the linear striations of the Fantasy Brown to the blotches of the Bianco Antico.

Leaning towards 1 and 5, but a difficult choice without seeing the whole slab.

For what it's worth, I have a classic Colonial house built in the 70s. I bought it knowing it would be a few years before I could redo the kitchen the way I wanted it. The room layout isn't great, there's no island, inadequate lighting, the drawers are too narrow, and the cabinets are starting to show a bit of wear. Just like every other house I looked at. It also had powder blue walls, tacky gold hardware, and a nightmare of a wallpaper border. So why was I willing to buy THIS house, and not the others? Because unlike all the other kitchens I saw, this one had beautiful midtone wood floors, simple white cabinets, and pure white countertops. The rest of the stuff was easily remedied, leaving me with a classic, timeless kitchen that I don't hate when I walk into it every day. It's very liveable and not an embarassment even though it doesn't function the way I want to. I am thankful every day for whoever it was who had the foresight to make these classic choices. So I'd go for the white quartz in a heartbeat - you'll enjoy it and your buyer will thank you for it.

Fantasy brown, followed by white springs. I also feel the quartz would be too cold / generic with your other choices.

Fantasy Brown or Astoria, if color is the only factor at this point. My general advice is to go with Quartz, though.

Marbella! I have white on white quartz, and used a sea foam green glass tile to keep it from being too sterile. You have a warm wood floor, so there's no way it's going to look sterile no matter what backsplash you use. I think that your DH choice is pretty for color but crazy busy.

I like Astoria and Marbella, neither are too imposing, which would be good for resale

We have the Bianco type granite and I hate it! You can't see when you need to wipe it and it's always disgusting for me when I run my hand down it and find leftover crumbs, coffee grounds, and whatever food that didn't stay in its container. If you are ok with not having a clean counter, and grossing out any guests that visit who happen to be exposed to where you didn't wipe because you couldn't "see" the food left behind, then the Bianco is the way to go.

I had a designer tell me there is a difference between "style" and "fashion". Style is timeless, where fashion comes and goes. Think of the latest brown grout lines. They look like they are dirty before you even use the kitchen. Brown grout lines are a "fashion" trend to me, and will quickly go away in a year or two when people figure out how much they hate what looks like dirty grout lines.

I think the gray quartz is a uniform enough surface to be able to see when it needs cleaning. You could go with a grey glass subway tile for the backsplash.

The "faux white marble quartz" with the veining is always a beautiful design element. If the veining is beige, you could use a glass beige subway tile. Just keep echoing your color choices throughout (medium brown flooring, beige veining in the countertop, beige subway tile). To me, echoing colors creates a calming flow from room to room to room.

So no dark brown or black or blue cabinets. Listen to your local real estate agents: grey, beige, or the new "greige", or any neutral; as they say "light and bright" (that means no brown grout lines). The houzz photo below shows what I believe is white "delicatus(?)" granite with white cabinets; the color of this granite being very easy to keep clean. It is also a more delicate design; not the "drama queen" that other granites with busier patterns have, so more relaxing/quiet.

Just remember that, at the end of the day, you have to live in it, so make sure you relish the design you end up with regardless what we in "the cheap seats" tell you.

Granite could also be "Alaska White"

Follow up to original posting. Base cabinets are going in this week and I have to make a decision. I have narrowed down to London Grey or Piatra Gray quartz or Jet Mist granite (sample shown is AB). Appreciate input. (cross posted on GW Kitchen Forum).
