brianmell, did you see my suggestion on the post about loving or hating quartz? How about that favorite of mine: Caesarstone Raven? Interesting undertone..take a look at it…it might provide a nice contrast.

i brought home a sample of white marble looking quartz as it was my first thought. The white just seems to pop so much vs. the stone I'm worried about it looking funny. I didn't mention walls are gray and floor is a brown driftwood.

I brought home something similar to the Raven and I liked it, but several people told me it would be to dark once i had in full slab since basement is already kinda dark.

Thanks for your help. I'll try a grey marble and the raven.
