Decorator Woes: Unfinished work...no statement

We hired a decorator six months ago to assist with remodeling our house we had just purchased. There were several things that I felt were not up to standard and she told be IOW to just live with it.

She has been promising me a replacement for thr bathroom fixture globe broken when fixture was installed 3 months ago, but I still haven't recived it. I also haven't received an itemized bill stating the prices of appliances, carpets and flooring, warranty or care instructions. I have emailed her multiple time. Either I get dead silence in response or an email with an excuse of some sort. She declared the job finished mid-March.

What recourse do I have? I probably can't make her fix the things she screwed up, but I want the freakin bill. I'm so frustrated?

Can you go round to her place? I once had a plumber on a job who did not turn up when scheduled and was holding the whole build. I ended up going to his home and waiting till I could get him. Sometimes one has to be a bit more ball-sy than one is comfortable with.

Call her directly. It's harder to ignore a phone call than an email.

I have tried to call her. I only get voicemail.

Usually an attorney will charge $50 to write a letter. If everything else fails, you could try that.

I don't understand her at all. I get being busy, but 2-3 months to send a final bill ?! Looks like she would be concerned that we would post a negative review on Angie's List and with the realtor who referred her.

Maybe she doesn't need the money right now and she's waiting to bill you when she does?

I'm confused; we're under the "small house" title here and there's only two small houses; the rest are mansions and castles.
