I am renovating a shotgun single in Holy Cross. When I bought the house, the interior walls were all heavily damaged and have been removed. I fell in love with the openness of the space, but am looking for an architect or engineer to help me understand how I can reinforce the structure without adding interior walls. It's a bargeboard house, so moment frames are out. I'm wondering if structural steel pipe might work.
