Really off topic

As I was getting up today, I decided to make the bed right away. Usually I have breakfast first, then get dressed and make the bed. I remember a friend who never made the bed, she had been a nurse and said she had made enough beds. I never feel ready to tackle the day until the bed is made. Can't start quilting!

Do you always make the bed? Right away? Later? Never.

Thoughts, opinions, or is it just me.

When the mood strikes. I am more likely to make the bed if I know someone is coming over. ☺

I always make the bed, usually after getting my first cup of coffee, though. :)

*most of the time* - there are just days that I am a) too lazy or b) too busy I try to wait til hubby is done his shower cuz he always sits on it while getting dressed; if it's already made, I get frustrated cuz he's 'messed it up'. and, now that he's retired.....well.

First thing. Well - second. But it wasn't that way always back in the day. I used to have an awful time getting up and was always running late. Then I grew up and realized that when you are raising a family and working you can't stay awake until 1:00 in the morning and then get up at 6:00 for very long.

Make it every day! Get out of bed, open the blinds, make the bed and move on from there!

Usually make it first thing, unless I'm feeling stressed or not well. Then it doesn't get made. I told hubbie he could always tell how I was feeling if he checked to see if the bed was made.

I most always get it made sometime in the morning. Not first thing though - I like to let it breathe a little. My husband usually helps. It's a little thing we do together. You can see our bed from the front door, so that's an incentive to get it made. And I hate getting into an unmade bed. DH steals the covers and getting it made is the only way to get them back.

Usually make it every day - before hopping in the shower. When I was working, it was us to DH because he was still in bed when I left. Now that we are both retired, I sleep later than he does, so it falls to me.

Most of the time --- and yes! to letting the bed linens breathe a little before making up the bed. I also let my clothes air out before I put them back in the closet. I check for any stains or spills and spot clean them, then let them dry and air.

Bedding breathing! Yes! Which is why I usually wait until after breakfast to make it up, but sometimes I am in a hurry and have to leave the house early. On the day I change the sheets, I leave it undone all day. I guess we all have our own way of doing the same task. Thanks for all the comments.

My bed is made every day. Sometimes before breakfast but most of the time right after breakfast. Growing up, that was a requirement. My mom always said even if the rest of the room was messy, it always looked better if the bed was made .... and we never left for school until it was made for the day. My husband never made his and just crawled in and tried to untangle the blankets to be able to cover up. We've been married 43 yrs. and he often gets it made before I get in there to do it. So I guess we're both sufficiently trained to make the bed.

We have seven children so you can imagine all the bedmaking I would have to do, so the morning drill before school was" wash your face and hands, brush your teeth, comb your hair and MAKE YOUR BED". I could probably recite that in my sleep. Do they make their beds now? Not my worry!
