Adding to what writersblock said, you may want to consider that the Frigidaire's "Lowe's Exclusive" model in your link seems to have only whole increment settings for the burners where the other Frigidaire models offer half step settings for finer heat adjustments. Some folks are fine with only 9 to 11 heat settings, but many of the "old hands" here here prefer finer control.

One thing to consider with the Frigidaire slide-in (FGIS3065) is that the cooling fan and oven both vent at the front of the stove, from beneath the control panel. That can be a matter of indifference to some folks and a major annoyance to others.

As an alternative to the "Lowe's Exclusive" model, you might want to have a look at the the Kenmore 95103, a clone that Electrolux-Frigidaire makes for Sears. For Labor Day weekend, that version is a little less than $200 more that the Lowe's Exclusive and you get third-element convection in the oven and 17 or 18 burner power settings. We've had a thread here discussing the 95103 but the search engines aren't finding it for me. Sorry about that. Thanks jwvideo! I had forgot about Sears. It looks like the Kenmore 95073 could be a contender for me too, as it is only $10 more than the 95103. That's not making my decision much easier. ;)

Erin, I'm in a similar situation to you. I had lived with a coil slide-in for just about 32 years. I ended up getting a very nice induction range. I am glad I treated myuself. The cooking performance and oven are beyond my expectations. I just had no idea how primitive I'd been living. I'd encourage you to opt. for the maximum amount you can afford.
