A lamp would be nice if you need light there. Add a plant (not fake) with the lamp or stack a few books. Also, your frames are too high on the wall. I would find something larger or do a grouping/gallery there.

I agree with chloe - part of what you may not like is the lack of color in the vignette - a few coffee table type books stacked should help bring color and interest to the table. If it were my table, I would forego the vase and put a more squat, full, real plant in its place - something with more greenery and color - possibly in a metallic bowl. A pretty African violet or even a nice begonia would do.

I agree two more frames would help...or even 4 more for a nice gallery. I would put them a little closer together with the two lowest being no more than 6" above the table.

The reason that doesn't look good (and won't no matter what you put on it) is that table doesn't go there. That looks like some kind of end table, it's furniture height so it's too low to sit on a wall by itself. Put it next to furniture somewhere else. In terms of what to put on that wall ... it's hard to say because I can't see the rest of the room. In a smaller space like that between drapery panels I would hang one large piece of art (remove those family photos .... family photos belong in a private space, they are not for "decorating" with especially in a living room). Or, again depending on what else is going on in that space, I would maybe put a gold and glass small bar cart underneath the artwork and decorate that with crystal decanters, glasses, etc.

Maybe do a search here on Houzz for accent table decor...lots of examples. Just be careful and keep it simple. A lamp with the books or plant (or whatever item you like) would be enough.

cpaul has a good point regarding seeing the rest of the room.
