Have we seen this kitchen before? It looks familiar.

Your room is definitely in need of some cheering now and my favourite colour would be green - bright as in lime or apple. You have room for some artwork on your walls, some indoor plants - a nice fern on our table - and maybe a bowl of fruit on the island bench. You don't want to clutter up work surfaces, so just something practical to take the plainness away. Do you have any plans for the wrought iron shelving? Some plates or bowls there in greens and/or aquas will add some colour.

Do you plan on a rug under the table and chairs? While the tiles are easy clean (especially if you have young children) they can also be noisy and a rug will avoid scraping chair sounds and muffle noise in general. A bold green or blue in a rug will lift the room too.

Yes you have seen this kitchen before. I posted about color advice. I went from a brown to a light gray. I bought green apples & cleaned the frig off. I had a green vase & bowl to put on the hutch. I like the idea of a rug, but I do have 2 kids & one on the way. Thanks for the ideas!

Just a note: It's best for us houzzers not to have duplicate posts as information gets very confusing. We have a hard time following it.
