as you can see I always left those roots on cuz I thought they looked cool. I still have not cut them off even though they are no longer in soil. I will eventually. Thats a 20" pot these are in. I would transplant yours into a 14 inch pot but I like the light weight plastic ones cuz they are easier to move around. Also I would(and do) go with a deep pot unless you want a smaller plant. Just my 2 cents. I have had this plant since 97, it was 5 years old then.

I see you have a huge collection. More than I can fit in my house. lol. You obviously have experience with these but I would prune about 3 inches off all those stems.
