cost to remove hem from lace curtains

I've been asked to redo some lace curtains. I will need to remove the factory hem that is now in them. I know it can come out easy if you get the correct thread or it can be near impossible. I have 8 45" curtains. What is a reasonable price for removing the hem, adding a narrow bottom hem the making a hem at the top for a 1" ruffle at top, and a seam for curtain rod, and hem?

If they need a rod pocket and dust ruffle at the top, I'd just shorten them from the top, because it would be more efficient than cutting and sewing both ends. Professionals in my area charge $45 to $60 an hour. maybe $5 a seam? so, if you just shortened from the top, $10 a panel.
