Posting again here after the great wood chipper advice I got last time! I had a pair of hand held grass clippers but lost them. They did wear out my hands but I like the control I get for clipping certain areas well around my plants and beds, unlike a weed whacker. Now I'm wondering if I should get the kind that you use when standing, the ones with the long handles. I am getting up in years and kneeling for long times does bug me. But I don't know if I could get the detail I want with those. I've used both kinds. Do you have a brand and model that you like? I see the standing ones come in two styles, one with two handles that looks weird, and one with a spring at the top, which seem like would wear out. Not in love with all the plastic. Any advice greatly appreciated!
