Help with Wall colour

This is my new kitchen. The cabinet colour is Benjamin Moore Gray Horse which in some lights looks pale sage green. The kitchen is at one end of an open plan living room kitchen with a vaulted ceiling. Is a small space but airy because if the ceiling and many window. I had thought to put a darker accent colour on the wall above the cupboards and the half wall in the right side of the picture then do the rest of the room in a lighter shade of the same tones, but I just can't decide on a colour ....do I go gray, or a darker sage green or cream? Any advice gratefully accepted

Very very tricky color scenario here! :) The peach enhances the cabinets' green undertone. In a perfect world, I would repaint the cabinets true white and then wall color options will open up.

When you say "the rest of the room" do you mean the entire open living room kitchen? If so, do you already have furniture and what color is it? or a rug or curtains. Try the sage greens you mentioned or a blue/green. Look at the BM strip that contains Mount Saint Anne and Quiet Moments.

Beth H, if the color limits the client from all other perspectives, It's worth chatting through all options.

I get that. But it's also an expensive and time consuming option. We can ask her if she'd like to go that route!

I like the color of your cabinets!

This image reminded me of your cab color. Someone asked the wall color and they answered with incredible white by sherwin williams. I am not sure about that but worth looking into!

I love every color in this bath! It is a stunner.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'll try to answer everyone in s logical fashion. Colour Zen: I just painted the cabinets this colour because I love it and because I have a sage green carpet in the open living room part of the space which is almost the same colour. I really don't like white cabinets and in this space they would pretty much slam you in the face when you come in the front door. I wanted a softer, less obtrusive look.

Beth H: I will be replacing both the counters (hopefully with a white quartz marbled with grey) and the backsplash either in the same quartz or in a toning glass tile. Will have to lay the samples out to choose. The terrazzo tile on the backsplash was also all over the floor until last week so we are a work in progress. I like the idea of darkening Gray Horse by 50% to go above the counters and on the accent wall to the right. If I did that then I could paint the rest of the room a colour similar to the White Dove you have shown or the Sea Salt at 50%. Just want something with some light and life to it rather than a flat beige or the pinky beige that the previous owner had it painted. Should mention that all the trim (and there's lots of it) is wide and brilliant white so something that has a bit of contrast with it would be good.

Thanks aktillery9 and junco East Georgia. Appreciate your ideas

Judi, Try the darker color above the cabs and see how you like it. I like the idea of the quartz splash. consider doing a brushed gold hardware. This kitchen is similar in your cab colors.

and Sea Pearl Quartzite would look very nice with your cabinets

I would get all of your hard finishes-counters & backsplash done & then paint large samples to study.

I love the color of your cabinets. A simple white subway tile might be nice & relate back to your white trim. It could work well even if you kept the black counters.
