Paint choice dilemma!

I am having a very difficult time choosing a foyer/family room paint color on a new home.

I have a front entrace colonial with an open floor plan, two story foyer with two story family room with floor to ceiling stone fireplace. I just painted the living and dining rooms BM Mountain Laurel, which I love. The kitchen is BM Antique Jade. I am looking for a color that is not overpowering, but doesn't fade into oblivion with all of the light that streams in both foyer and family room. The best I have come up with is BM Shaker Beige, but I don't feel great about it. I don't want an overwhelminly beige house, but grey isn't flying with the hardwood and fireplace stone color. Please ignore obviously ugly mantlepiece and bookcase I am already changing. Any ideas??

Go a lovely pale grey- Revere Pewter or Grey Owl. WIll look great with the cooler toned dining room and the lovely fireplace without being overpowering.

I actually had considered Revere Pewter, when I held it up to the fireplace I wasn't sure if the grey looked too odd next to all the brown tones. Dare I do an accent wall? Considering maybe Mountain Laurel on the fireplace wall to pull in from the living and dining rooms, or Antique Jade to pull in from the kitchen which is also open to the family room. I have never had an accent wall before so wasn't sure if it was too dated...

How about a lighter tint of the color in the dining room? Two or three hues lighter I'm thinking.

Here's a fav of mine for classic architecture. BM Navajo White walls with White Dove trim. Not sure if it can stand up to the deep color in the dining room, but worth looking at. I is fresh and a perfect backdrop for everything.

I love the Navajo White, but my life consists of 4 kids and 2 dogs and sadly I don't think a light shade would hold up in our house! I found Shenandoah Taupe yesterday, it is a strong shade for sure. I do have a two story foyer and a two story family room though, with huge windows and lots of light. Too dark do you think?
