Putting a largish Hydra. in a 30 gal. root pouch. Don't plan on adding ferts now but I've never grown a large shrub in a pot before...

During the warmer months, just a good helping of osmocote. Will lime, plant tone/h tone even work with any buggers in the soil during the warmer months ? Maybe one or 2 feedlings of synthetic fert/water once in late spring and once in mid summer ?
