Retreat gift exchange

Since there are only a few of us this year, shall we skip the gift exchange?

So we can choose to bring either an old project, or a yard of ugly fabric, or a tool, or two half yard cuts? Or are we to vote for one of those choices? If voting, I vote for fabric - it is always hotly contested. I think a fight broke out one year over a bag of fat quarters --- LoL!

I like the fabric idea. Perhaps pieces totaling 1 yard ( 2 half yard, 4 FQ, bunch of charms) not to exceed $10.

    Fabric it is then!

I'm in, but does it have to be "ugly" fabric????

I am in with the fabric. It does not have to be ugly. Just so everyone knows...I am always in need of neutrals. :)

Perfect - NOT ugly fabric! 1 yard (combo okay) :)

Oh I think it's time for me to go to retreat again. This year has been difficult for me but maybe next year.

We'd love to see you at the retreat again, Fran!

We would love to have you again, Fran. We have plenty of rooms so if you can make it feel free to come.

Just so I don't leave everyone wondering, I'm not going to be able to make it to retreat this year. I've had my right hand swell and be sore from sewing before but after I pushed myself to finish up the baby quilt for my granddaughter in August, I really had problems with it. The doctor says to rest my hand as much as possible and take some aspirin when it's really painful. I think from now on I'll have to do any quilting a little at a time. That sort of takes away from the fun of being at retreat and I'm not too sure I can manage the drive at this point either. Hopefully I can be there next year, I sure miss being together and all the fun involved with retreat.

Thinking of everyone and I'll watch for pictures!

Jeanne, you will be missed, but I understand completely. Please take care of your hand so you can make it next year.

I'm not going to make it this year girls. So sorry. Will plan on next year. With hubby's heart valve and taking care of Mom, it's about all I can handle right now. I want to come next year and see Fran's new knee. So, Teresa, leave your baby home and Bev, use my deposit for food and treats. I love you all and will be sad that week to miss it.

Linda, we will miss you, but expect to see you next year. I'll hang a small design board to remind us of you. We will post lots of pictures for those who can't make it. For show and tell we can compare surgery scars.

Oh Linda, we will miss you, but I totally understand. You have to take care of the family and yourself first.
