My suggestions will be based on working with what you have since you did not offer budget guidelines. Editing plant and streamlining your entrance will be important. Your look emphasizes straight lines. Therefore get a carpenter TRIM not framing to draw a mockup of new trim around front door based on your inspiration. Use new deck material with a horizontal rail detail to cover existing stonework at your deck. Paint palette should have front door pop. Remove most of the fern to the right of the tree under the little window and replace it with mulch and dwarf mondo grass planted in 8" center grid pattern. This will put the focus back on the house. What ever large clumping plant you have at your patio entrance, plant a third at the far right in the home under the bank of windows. Place a sleek modern light on both sides of the front door.

Awesome feedback @Robin. Right now, budget is up in the air. I’m willing to spend a decent amount (~20k) for the exterior.

A porch roof over your door with two posts. The roof could be flat or pitched.

A simple overhang with braces could work too. This provides projection.

The pics aren't suggestions for you, just an example of projection, making flat pop out.

I think you’ll get a huge boost by making the front door more prominent. At the very least, some posts and a roof in the doorway area. If you don’t mind the shade that it will cast inside the house, I’d run a porch roof the length of that window (the window near the door, that is). (It’s hard to see from the picture, but if the porch is not that large, I’d make it so.)

I’d also build up the look of the front door. Wide trim around it, painted to match the door, will help (as is, the door looks a little small for an otherwise generously-sized home).

That might do the trick. I’d stop there and assess. But if it needs more help, landscaping—small, narrow pillar-like trees to the right of that little window, and low shrubs beyond that to the end of the house (on the right, that is).

When it’s all done, you’ll have "unbalanced" the house—the right won’t look like it’s on the same plane as the left. Asymmetry is your friend.

@Grover here is the house with the new windows. Please excuse the landscaping mess. Irma has my lawn people way behind, so things are starting to get pretty overgrown. Normally the landscaping is immaculate.

At this point, I’m looking for changes to make to the house itself, and not the landscaping. I’m getting a new roof, new gutters, and new doors (bright yellow) soon, and would want to tackle anything I do at the same time.

I think the most cost-effective solution is what Alexander suggested above, adding a porch with roof. I'd do a cross gable that frames back onto main roof. Use same pitch roof. Sort of like this before and after we did in Denver for a client:

Nik, glad I was able to help. I actually stole someone else's porch and stuck it on your house without much modification, so I've gone back and tweaked a bit, but the lines are basically the same. I would keep the roof pitch about as I show it, but I made the porch and steps a bit more shallow so they don't extend as far from the house. Ditto with the patio/walkway. You want it to complement, not overpower the place. I also added a door casing to match the windows. The dog stays the same.
