Well, I would start by losing the bicycle and extending the counter so that it's over the bar stools. If you plan to keep the tv where it is, blackout curtains will work well for you or the glare could be bad in the daytime. Look for apartment sized furniture to save space. Use armless/slimlined chairs/sofa. Poufs don't take up much space and can provide additional seating. [houzz=] [houzz=]

I think you've succeeded beyond your wildest dreams nothing says minimal more than parking your gym next to the kitchen! I agree w olldbobbi's suggestions, and will add that your counter could come out farther to be more functional, lucite (nesting) tables will keep some expansiveness to the room, and one really big piece (preferably not your bike) on the long wall will give you a focal point. I suggest a very limited color palette, and a large area rug to soften.

Can you post the dimensions of this room? Looks about 20 by 8 to me. And a diagram would help also: show kitchen, door ways, bordering rooms.

I think the tv should be turned and placed along the same wall as the bike is. Then get that sofa shown above to face it.

Do you need a dining space? If so, table could go into area where tv is. tv could go where bar stools are and sofa where bike is.

How about the curtains? Do you need any window treatment? Hope this will give you some ideas. For more choice, please visit http://www.cheerycurtains.com/
