black/white with orange accents is a master combination. I have no problem with a classic chandelier provided is super nice( difficult to appreciate from the photo). I have more problem with the look of the table and chairs.

Yes you absolutely can combine traditional items with a modern decor scheme! The black chandelier works in the kitchen pictured below because, while it is a classic shape it has the modern twist of being black. You could also use a more contemporary shaped chandelier, but personally i would t go palatial traditional swarowski crystal chandelier in an uber modern space as it will look odd. But if you went more transitional with a mixture of antiques and modern pieces then that same chandelier could work nicely.
