Building a Home Electrical Wiring Kitchens

Under cabinet lighting help!

How do you decide between low voltage or regular AC lighting for under cabinets? I want a good quality light under my cabinets but would like to run low voltage wire through the walls to each set of cabinets so that no wires are seen. I am not finding very many low voltage light options out there besides the LED tape?

It's kind of personal preference. Most of the new showcase homes by me are all using 12v LED ribbon since it's inexpensive, easily concealable, and produces even light. Right now I have 110v fixtures (really it transforms it to 12v) fixtures with LED pucks. Mine are somewhat even but I can tell it's a focused source... My big fixtures are easily changeable, but I think I'll just go with the thin ribbon next time

LED tape lights are the best and most versatile choice. That is why they have become the dominant lighting choice.
