Dining Room Table Help

We just purchased a new home. The living room and dining room have marble flooring. The dining room has black outline/frame on the flooring. Question is...what kind of dining table would you recommend? Definitely rectangular. I would like grey wood restoration hardware type of table. Husband wants something a bit modern with glass top. Like zgallerie. Thoughts? I attached a picture of the fireplace for more feel of the house.
