Update dated lakefront home

I need to replace the living room furniture in this lakefront home. The colour palette right now is quite Mediterranean. I've attached a sample of colours we could pick up without re-painting the entire home. What style furniture? I'm thinking one of these IKEA slip covered couches as a starting point...one of these fabrics or beige?

Rug colours? Pillows? Decor? Coffee tables??

All feedback very appreciated!! TIA!

Yeah, Fiona. It happens to everyone. Something about the Houzz app tells you it didn't upload when it did. Be glad you didn't end up with 5 or 6 of 'em. ;-)

Will you be living there or just weekending there? Either couch is beautiful but remember, it is a lake house and you don't want to spend time cleaning and washing slip covers....That said, I like leather for it's being easy to keep clean. Maybe a lighter color than you have.

Starting point: remove the valance and the draperies.

I suggest repainting the blue trim with the yellow you have on the walls.

The butterscotch tone in the bottom of the painting over the fireplace…that would be my choice for the sofa. I have a great one in mind, but for some reason I can’t upload from my computer or upload a houzz URL.

@JudyG Designs great idea about the butterscotch colour for a couch. When you're able, would love to see the couch you're thinking of.

@all...yes, the valances and the draperies need to go!
