Granite vanities

We are in a process of bathroom remodeling and looking for vanities replacement. What would be more suitable for master bath : granite or marble counter tops? Someone mentioned that marble is too absorbing and not for bathroom.
Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your question! There’s no right or wrong answer to your question, it’s all a matter of preference. And I am not a stone expert to speak to how granite vs. marble will last over time. I have heard that marble is more porous, which can lead to staining. But if it’s sealed properly, and you don’t leave messes sitting on the counters for long periods of time, it should last for years to come! Marble is a very common material used in bathrooms for countertops and tile, and I’ve personally never had an issue. Consult your stone slab professional for specifics and care instructions. Best, Stephen
