I would but I'm hoping for a better option than spending money.

Place it in a suny window, as much sun as possible. If not possible, you need to give extra light. This could be done with a cheap floor light. Adjust watering and don't let sit in saucer with water. You can search this board for great ideas for light set up in winter.

I keep the lamp about 6 inch's from the top of my tree but I start about 9 inches away and slowing move it closer every day so they don't burn. Then I point the reflector up at the bottom portion of the tree, its not as close but it still seems to help.

Hopefully you can find a fixture you already have and put a CFL twist bulb (I use GE brand that I ordered from a box store) in it. Floor lamp, clip light, or pendant.

I always keep an eye out for inexpensive lamps, and that lersta fixture at ikea is a good price. It has a metal shade, which I like better than plastic, and the flex lets you point it. (note that I haven't actually used lersta)

Also remember to provide good air circulation (fans are good) and mist to keep spider mites down. Use room temp (not cold!) water for irrigation.

Reduce fertilizer to half rate.
