I think everybody in the bin would like to have some sugar....worms included. But I feel like a lot of syrup would make a mess, also because it adds so much extra water to the system.

I might be tempted to just pour that syrup on the garden, somewhere relatively inconspicuous...before a rain, or else water it in a little, just so it doesn't collect on the surface. It would feed the soil life there just as well.

Whatever you do, do it soon before the sugar starts fermenting.
