Ugly front porch landing finish
We are re-doing our front porch and want to change the finish on the landing of the porch. It is a mid-60's terrazzo type (see pictures). Other than chipping it up, are there any finishes we could apply onto it? We are ready for a different look!

9 years agolast modified: 9 years agoIf you really don't like it, you can tile over it. you have enough clearance for new tile. And that's prob set very well since it was done so long ago.
Although, I don't think it's half bad. I'd give the grout a good cleaning and then paint it w/a dark grout,,,like charcoal or black. "Grout Renew". once cleaned up and painted w/the dark grout, I think it will look cool!
Or, if you can, dig out most of the grout (it looks like it's receded a bit) and re-grout w/a sanded black or charcoal color grout. do this first before you rip it out. it will look brand new again.
