I always think of Black Friday as the day most sales start, but I think van egelen has been earlier. I think it depends on the year and the weather and how sales are.

Van Engelen starts their sale in early to mid November. The date and %off vary from year to year. Easy to Grow bulbs also has a sale in mid to late November. Brent and Becky’s probably around Thanksgiving.

I don't know if i can hold out that long. Van Engelen has some bulbs that I am really interested in. Need to add some emperor tulips.

Van Engelen can run out of popular items by sale time. Last year their discount never reached 50% like previous years. If memory serves me, I think it only went to 30%.

This year, I went ahead and just ordered in September to get what I really want. If they get an amazing discount, I might go back and lasagna layer a few (too many) pots.

Katob, I know the REAL reason you won't crack is due to your snowdrop addiction. :D The websites with the really different ones usually only have a few of each so I'm betting you made your purchases really early. Do they send plants or bulbs? I have heard bulbs don't do well for those.
