Wheels even from the factory can need dressing . Is this vibration from the get go or after noticeable usage ? Is your unit bolted to a flat surface or freestanding ?

I have dressed the face and the sides with the given diamond tool and cannot get it smoothed up. But they are original wheels. It is on a stand with locking wheels so I can use it outside. My shop is in the house and sometimes it just easier to use a blower to clean up tools and mess outside.

OK , so your pedestal grinder has vibrated from the get go or after approx how much usage ? If it vibrated from the 1 st day it may be from the factory . otherwise you may need to replace the wheels . I had a 2 HP with 8 inch wheels that was less than smooth ! lol.

From the get go. I figured it was the wheels and it would smooth up, but then it has not. So now I am thinking to myself that maybe its possible the stones have a off center mass like a car tire that need a balance, and if so, who makes a good quaility stone? But if thats not common then maybe its the shaft?

Huuum , well have not purchased many offshore grinder products . Stones are not that expensive , why not try there 1st . If your Lowes store is local perhaps bring unit back for an exchange ? I have never heard of a defective spindle but anything is possible . Removal of the stones and running the unit would reveal any unusual runout with dial indicator or straight edge.

This may be a long shot, but you could try loosening the nut holding the wheel, and rotating the grinding stone a quarter or half turn, and re-tightening. Probably won't help, but would not cost anything just to try.

Well if it wont hurt to run it unloaded, I will take the wheels off after i mark them for relative position and then reinstall at 1/2 out on one side and then I will just post results . Thanks!

No concern for a test Bro ! Just run it up and shut it off to inspect for runout .

It has a long beautiful runout right now. I wish I had those bearings on my mower deck.
