I am working on my whole house. My husband and I had this house sold on a Land Contract with my "Best Friend." 4 1/2 years on a 3 year Land Contract we took it back after we got, for the 2nd time, a pre-foreclosure notice for 2 years of non payment on taxes. They also missed 3 payments on the house and this affected our name with the Credit Union we had the loan through. When we finally got it back, it was in REALLY bad shape. Cat and dog urine and feces throughout the upstairs and cat urine saturated in the carpet in the bedrooms. The 2nd bathroom was destroyed and I guess they were using it as the cat bathroom. They had allowed the kids to spray paint/tag the wall in one of the bedrooms and the one wall in the basement. They attempted to put up tiles in the shower but put them up crooked and not lined up correctly.

My husband and I have opened any home we had/have to ANYONE in need. We have helped out numerous families who didn't have a roof over their head. We have had my step-son and family live with us once they decided he was not going to reenlist in the Marines after he had 3 tours over in Afghanistan, Iraq and many other places overseas. Nieces, Nephew's and all their families have lived with us a few times as well. It's been very expensive to help all of these families and it has put us in a situation where we can not afford to fix the home we live in. There is a lot of mold throughout and the smell of the cat urine hits you in the face when you first walk in the door. So much work needs to be done and I'm not even sure where to start. Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can get this done with little money to do it? I'm desperate since I'm living in this home and I'm allergic to mold and cats. I have been sick non stop and end up in the ER often with my asthma and difficulty with breathing. Please.... any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
