First new peduncle of Spring!

From an unexpected source... pachyclada! The damn plant has sat there for well over a year without growing a single leaf. It's currently in a spot getting full sun and I was thinking of moving it because the leaves were looking kinda "dull" Not burnt, but a weird washed out well, dull colour. But then I noticed it has a teeny little growth nubbin. Finally! I think. But then I moved pottsii out of the way to look for more and there it is! a little stumpy peduncle!!! Now I think I need to leave (leaf? lol) it there as it seems to like it so much? The sun come Summer might be a bit too much though...

Bella was loaded up on peduncles but I let her get too dry and in keeping with her nickname of b***hy bella, she has blasted most of them... (ungrateful cow!) so if all goes well with pachy I might get some flowers this year?

Multiflora has peduncles but multiflora always has peduncles and they always drop off so I'm not even going to count them.

Was a crap Winter, either too wet and cold or warm and no humidity. Sadly I lost a few plants, mostly to overwatering? but I'm over the worst of it now I hope. There is new growth popping up on plants everywhere and I'm starting to think about moving them outside in another month or so.

Please post pictures of your pachyclada as it changes. It is one of my favorites. I received a cutting this year, and when I rooted it, it lost its new leaves. It is suddenly growing a new one.

A rooted cutting of my pachy 'New Moon' also refuses to put out leaves! But, it has happily produced 2 peduncles, one of which has buds on it. Silly plant!

How fast do they grow? Mine is only teeny so far!

I don't know, lol! I have mine in the "dry zone", so I never know I even have new peduncles or buds/blooms until I move things or it's a watering/health check day.

That top peduncle came out of nowhere! There is a waaay smaller peduncle in the bottom of the pot, between the mature leaves. It's budding up, as well, but it's a nub. The one at the top, I thought (and was hoping) was new growth, not a peduncle!

This is what it was hiding behind, a small jungle of new pottsii leaves. This plant has gone nuts! Leaves popping out everywhere along it's vines.

Today I noticed signs of growth in one, maybe two of obovatas peduncles and there might be activity on verticilliata's one as well.... All new flowers for me if the darn things don't mock me by hurling their buds to the ground....

I find mine grows very slowly, would rather produce peduncles and buds than new growth, sigh!

Pachyclada is still pondering the meaning of life, No sign of any more growth. So here is obovata, a (hopefully, if they don't blast) new flower for me.

I don't have a pachy yet :-/ but i do have obovata! Grows like grazy here. She is covered in peduncles but not blooming at the moment...knowing obovata she wont abort those buds :)

I hope not! It has 4 budding up! Including last years tiny "practise" peduncles :D

Pachyclada's peduncle hasn't grown at all but it's suddenly growing new leaves quickly, lol.
