Exterior Bay Window Rot

I have a 2 story canted bay window that is all trimmed and outlined with wood on the exterior that is constantly in need of re-sanding, caulking and painting every year because of rain. Is it possible to brick the entire exterior of the bay window and if so, roughly how much would that cost?

Why do you think that rain alone is the cause? I suspect that roofing/flashing deficiencies are allowing water to get behind the wood trim.

Have you tried any of the wood epoxy kits to help restore the wood? I have used the following with great success: This kit is mail order from Lee Valley Tools but I think there are similar products at some of the standard hardware stores.

I'm not sure what bricking would do. There is some problem, probably with the flashing, and bricking the window in likely won't prevent it from rotting further (although it may be concealed for a while while the rot progresses). It would help if you could post some pictures of the problem area and the larger area in general.

Rebuilding it with proper flashing integrated into the roof and the sidewalks is what is needed. At that point, the exterior cladding is immaterial. The house would be waterproofed no matter the decorative surface cladding. BTW, brick is quite porous and if just placed on a framed structure will just transfer more moisture into it. The structure has to be built correctly from the beginning.
