From what I have heard, TurboWash is about equal in gentleness in comparison to the cycle without it. More than likely due to the spray rinse and one deep rinse instead of 2 deep rinses. I have used one of these machines and was impressed, but they always use cooler than expected temperatures.

I can't speak from personal experience, but LG washers are rated to be very good in terms of gentleness on clothes. There are some videos on youtube of the wash cycles with turbo wash enabled and the water jets don't look harsh at all.

I have the LG top load (WT7600HWA). I previously had the LG front load & had the same problems you have. I love my top load! With 2 babies & a husband that works construction our clothes always come out clean & dryer time is 1/2! Wash time for small load 35 mins & large dirty load 70 mins. The one thing I found that makes a big difference in wash time is loading it correctly (LG has a video that was helpful).

I have an LG 3570, which was LG's least-expensive FL washer with Turbo Wash when I bought it over a year ago. It has been a fine machine, overall. Regular loads in Normal Cotton or Perm Press take around 60 minutes to complete without Turbo Wash. These cycles take about 15 minutes less time with Turbo Wash on. I do not think Turbo Wash is harder on the clothes, but it may lead to a load that is very slightly less well washed and rinsed. I usually do loads with the feature turned off, but I like having it if I need a load finished in a shorter period of time.

The spray isn't very powerful at all. It only sprays hard enough to move water a couple feet in an arcing pattern. It's silent even with an empty tub (cleaning cycle). It might be my favorite feature. I feel like it gets the detergent spread more quickly and evenly,
