they will be fine. Leave them outside as long as you can. The less time inside the less problems you'll have.

I have found that the weather people are not always right in their temp predictions so always give yourself a few more degrees on the safer side. Satsumas are supposed to the most hardy down to 32, but I don't take chances by leaving my trees anywhere close to it. 40F is as low as I will go.

Hopefully you have them prepared to go in with few spray treatments of neem and what not. I'm in NY and I leave my citrus out a bit longer but other tropicals are going in this week.

...If you wait until it's that cold at night to bring it indoors into a much warmer environment don't be surprised if any of them have severe winter leaf drop..

Mikerno, I never thought about bringing in the plants when temps are equal inside and out. Something to think about. My temps in the house are 78 but will be adjusted to 68 when winter finally arrives. Thank you for the advice.

Ok I'll wait until November. My house temp is only like 20 degrees warmer than the outside without heat so I think it should be ok.
