You may be overthinking this :-) Even certified organic vineyards use regular trellising wire, sometimes galvanized. I'm not sure any substantiation of the wire somehow 'contaminating' the vines has been established

Thanks for trying to ease my mind. I was in Home Depot and was ready to purchase wire. I told an employee that asked if I needed help about what I was shopping for, I said that I am concerned because all of the wires had a disclaimer that stated they all contain chemicals that have been proven to cause cancer. He said "I know, I used to galvanize wire". He told me what the wires contained and how they are made. He did not disagree that they are linked to cancer. I do not want to take any chances. I did see 1 vendor on Etsy selling stainless steel wire, non galvanized. But, it is very expensive. I would rather go with cheaper, but healthy as well.

YOU are safely using a computer or phone with components made by some of the most hazardous chemicals I have ever worked with (explosive, carcinogenic, or just plain deadly). If you apply your logic about the wire to the chips in your cell phone, you would immediately dispose of it.

Don't confuse the hazards of making a product with the hazards of using it.
