Does this allow mounting on brick mould that's 4" behind brick face?

The face of my brick is 4 inches in front of my brick mould. So if I mount the hinge to the brick mould then the hinge point would need to be at least 2+ inches out from the brick mould. ... or Does this hinge require that I mound to the face of the brick / at the back of the shutter (when open)?
