HI, We mixed polished nickel with antique pewter in this kitchen and it looks great. There is a shell chandelier over the table in this room and it has a chrome finish. Don't be afraid to mix up your finishes. The only finish that I would stay away from is brushed nickel.

A ten foot island could definitely accommodate two of these fixtures. They would look amazing!!!

Hi, The countertops are Princess White Granite and the stool frames were made by Bloomsbury Fine Cabinetry, then we upholstered them in Maxwell Fabrics Structure Colour Cameo.

The hardware is polished nickel mixed with antique pewter.

Would you mind telling me where you used the polished nickel for cabinet hardware? I am in the process of making cabinet hardware selections and trying to combine polished nickel with pewter but don't want it to look hodge podge. Thank you for sharing your talent! Beautiful kitchen!!

glad you mentioned antique pewter and brushed nickle going well. I have antique pewter and real brass mixed lights in my master bedroom. I don't want to replace them because I still like them and they were quite expensive when I purchased them. Just this morning I had the idea to change the master bath with brushed nickle, because it reminded me so much of antique pewter :)

Crossville Inc sells a tile panel in their Savoy line made to look like bead board. It looks amazing. it more practical from a cleaning standpoint, for a backsplash application.

where did you buy the island light fixture?

Love the bead board back splash! Is it white or painted (can't tell due to shadows in the picture). My kitchen is white with black granite counter tops and Benj Moore Woodlawn Blue painted walls. I really like this look - do you think I could pull it off with white bead board or would a color be better - due to the black counter top? Thank you!
