fix for improperly sloped bathroom floor that does not drain

The contractor only sloped the immediate area around the drain, not the entire bathroom floor. Since this is an open floor bathroom, water collects under the tub and has to be squeegeed out after every shower. Clearly, this is very frustrating.

One possible fix is to redo the entire floor, which would be enormously expensive and time consuming. I am not sure the tub can even be removed at this point.

The other thought was to build a frameless enclosure but that would stop me from being able to get into the tub.

The last idea I have is to build some sort of curtain around the tub. But I would like it to be clear and unobtrusive, since the jade tile and the clawfoot tub are the highlights of the bathroom design.

I would definitely have pitched under the tub, too, since it would be impossible for water to not go there. But it looks like the installation is done and presumably you've already paid for everything. Adding a curtain is the cheapest and easiest fix. It's actually not a terrible idea as clawfoot tubs traditionally had curtains, so you'd really just be embracing the piece. An alternative would be to install a horizontal curtain rod between the shower and tub and keep it pulled back when not showering so you can still enjoy the lovely floors and tub.

If the floor is back pitched curtain will not help, the water will find a way to get under there unless you find a way to make a tight seal at the bottom. Call the contractor and have him fix it or deal with the curtain.

The whole floor should be sloped, whether or not you have a tub! I can see what looks like discoloration of the grout not only under the tub but at the far end of the shower, where presumably water also doesn't drain properly. I can't think of a simple fix for this -- feels like a major rip-out. :(

Maybe try doing something like this... Not sure how much room you have there and what is in the front of the tub, but maybe you can put a short glass partition along the tub lets say 36-42" from the wall, something like this
