Can never, ever do better than wool…you will need a good pad…I recommend Mohawk Smart Step. I doubt it will have to be “seemed”, but if so, have them duct tape the seam. This is the most important step in investing in a rug, as it isn’t the rug that stains; it is what seeps into the padding. If something spills; lay a towel or paper towels on the spot and keep stepping on it until it leaves no wet on the towel. That will probably be all you need to do.
