I would do straight, just because I think that the tile has pattern enough itself without adding a design in how you lay it...

Just to add one thing....the counters are pretty low key (love them), and even though I love the herringbone, I would only do that pattern if your wall tile was very subtle as well.

We've used this tile for a customized bath and flooring and LOVE it! It's a timeless color/pattern.

The space is somewhat narrow for the size in herringbone; be aware of all the cutting. If you decide on that straight layout, be sure not to overlap tiles more than one third.

I also wanted to do a rectangular mosaic in the shower with either a lantern or hex pattern similar to what is attached. I’ve been concerned about mixing the real and fake tile.

Also a view of the bathroom shower tub ( I plan on covering the cube glass window.

Not to confuse the bath surround, front will be wood, what’s in white will be marble (same as counters)

This bathroom has been the biggest challenge for me! (Hurricane Harvey unexpected remodel)

You may want to consider changing out the wall tile to something "cleaner". Mixing the real and the copy of the same idea may not work in the color tones. Pick a plain tile if you want to keep the wall decorative section, you can use the same mosaic for the inset as well as the shower floor.

I'd go straight also as there is enough pattern. That herringbone layout is too strong with that pattern.

Not to be a buzz kill, but I'm not feeling this tile at all for your beautiful bath. I'd prefer a solid color light dove gray.

Stick with the herringbone. I love that the tiles are large...helps open up the space. I would keep the wall tile subtle, tho.

The herring bone adds a lot of unexpected movement. I would go for it. Your will need to figure about 15% waste. Possible more. Just make sure that the tile is readily available and be ready to pay your tile guy extra!
