Hi everyone- Thanks in advance for your design advice and input! We are updating our hi ranch house exterior with new siding, etc. I don't know where to start! We are on a tight budget so cannot make architectural changes to the house, as much as I would love to.

For now, we plan to remove cedar siding and replace with vinyl (considering shakes in front). Can you please help me decide on siding color (I'm heavily leaning towards a grey) and what to do with this brick?? We are pricing out options to cover brick with a different stone, paint brick or remove/demo brick and replace with siding. I recently just read about brick staining on this site.

Would you keep or remove shutters? What would you do with entry way? I may remove false facade above front door and front door definitely needs to be replaced (goodbye storm door!)

Thoughts? The gambrel roof above garage is throwing me too. Can we match trim to siding color? Would that help de-emphasize?
