Ignore the dwarf or semi-dwarf tags......they are all the same plant :-) It is just that they are considered dwarf by other citrus tree standards.

Just an fyi but growers cause more confusion with their plant tags than they clear up!!

Any Meyer you buy will be the same; but if you want "true" dwarf, you can only get that with Flying Dragon rootstock... maybe some others I don't know; but a FD rootstock will grow soooooo slow, I am sure you will not be happy with it.

I have a Meyer lemon from Four Winds that I purchased in 2002. It is only about 3'x3' in a 14" container. It hasn't grown much since I got it in the mail and has never been pruned since receiving it. I will repot it in the spring and trim it a bit because it has grown wider than in height. I will see how "dwarf" it really is by the end of next season. lol.

Dwarf is a marketing word. Who is going to bring back their tree after 10 years and ask for a refund? By nature a Meyer will grow wider than higher, unless pruned for being higher.

Good to know it’s wider, since I hope it can be a hedge at my front door.

I have a Meyer hedge (2 trees grown together) at my entry walkway; together they produce more than 200 lemons every year.

you will get a fast growing true dwarf on US897 rootstock as well as flying dragon. This is my NZL on US897
