It looks like you could use some pattern in the room - so I'd think about roman shades, making sure that the pattern you choose contains the color of the bamboo shades to help tie everything together.

I would use the same window covering that you have in the den since it is an open room. Going with a window covering that is thicker wouldn't bet the best choice for two smaller windows. Make sure you like the color of the bamboo shades against the backsplash and the door. I hope this helps some!

I would use a linen roman shade for the kitchen. I personally think the bamboo shades are the wrong tone for the space.

A roman shade in a fabric and then using the same fabric for drapery panels in the living area could help bring some color or pattern to the spaces. Panels in a neutral shade such as the linen Roman shade would also be very pretty and add some softness to the window.
