I'm helping out a friend with some ideas. Attached is the plan for the 1st floor of this home. The layout has the living room flowing right into dining then kitchen. I have 2 questions.

1. Kitchen will be 24x16 tiles and living room will have wood flooring. Would the "dining area" look better with the wood from the living area, or tile from kitchen?

2. Secondly, are there any good furniture options and layouts to use, in order to make this dining/living room flow and look nice? (example: sectional couch and round dining table)
